Ken Watkins F. Inst. MSPA. Hons, Inst. Mangt. Dip.

Ken has spent over thirty years in the public sector managing leisure, sport, arts, culture, heritage and community services having worked with District, Borough, Metropolitan and Town Councils.

His extensive “hands-on” experience includes managing and developing multi-disciplined facilities, strategic leadership, stakeholder management, team building, financial and business planning and community engagement. He prepared the first independent leisure facility nationally, to achieve the Investors in People Award, and has a successful track record in securing major project grant funding.

Ken’s career posts have included operational management, corporate management as a Head of Service and latterly as a consultant developing community asset transfer projects.

A Fellow of the Institute of Sport and Physical Activity Management, Ken attained The Institute of Management Diploma in 1998.
