Alex has been involved in travel and tourism for 30 years. His experience offers a blend of strategic skills, commercial realism and practical insights.
His early career was in commercial tour operations with Thomas Cook where he was Product Manager Europe, responsible for ski, coach and adventure holiday programmes. He went on to become County Tourism Officer for Leicestershire and Cheshire County Councils, before setting up a new unit for Cheshire's cultural services, encompassing tourism, museums, arts and sport.
In 1996, Alex established one of the country's first "Destination Management Partnerships", when South Warwickshire Tourism was founded to market and develop tourism in Shakespeare Country. He
became a consultant in 2005, and has since gained a reputation as one of the country's leading specialists in visitor services consultancy.
A consultant since 1998, Malcolm has worked for more than 30 years in the tourism industry within the British Isles.
He has held senior management posts with Heart of England and East Midlands Tourist Boards, Isle of Man Tourism and Coventry City Council.
Malcolm's destination management consutancy services cover tourism strategies, market appraisals and marketing plans, visitor information and management services, business plans for visitor attractions and interim management.
A Member of the Tourism Society, Malcolm holds a BA Honours Degree in Town and Country Planning.
